I must get out of this big, empty house and travel the world.

Right now, I really want to visit Seoul, Korea. Not just because I have a weird obsession for Koreans, but because I want to study the Korean people themselves. I want to see how fashion is timed, how their food is healthier than most asian foods, how plastic surgery is so common for people as young as 16, how they have some of the leading technology brands in the world (i.e. LG, Samsung, Hyundai), how women protect their skin so well, how school is so suicidal for students, and all that other fun stuff. For some reason, it just amazes me.

Next stop would be Akita, Japan. I am a winter baby. I hated vacations to hot and warm places. I could probably skip on Hawaii, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the other warm places. Akita is in the northern area of Japan where it’s known for it’s brilliant onsens (hot springs), breath taking mountain views, and beautiful pure white snow. I’m a cold person (figuratively, and literally). I travel to cold places almost every year to ski, snowboard, etc. So I’d love to climb one of Akita’s mountains one day. And then top it off with soaking myself in an onsen.

St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. Why? After seeing Anastasia as a kid, I really fell in love with Russia because that was the setting of Anastasia. But then my freshmen year I had to right an essay about Nicholas II: The Last Tsar, I became more interested in Russia. I also realized they have a lot of snow there and I’m a sucker for snow and the cold. Also, I’ve always wanted an authentic Russian fur hat.

Too Cool for Kohl

I never ever wear make up on a daily basis. Usually only on special occasions. But lately I've been realy fond of this Laura Mericer eyeliner. It's called Kohl Turquoise Black. It's not all bright turquoise, but it's not simple black. I like it, it gives a metallic look as well. I recommend this eyeliner because it really adds a little something extra with out having to go all out.

I'm having a clothing line?

Well should I? I mean this romper and have made some other stuff as well and I really want to become a designer when I grow up. But it's hard work and it's not easy to be successful to become one. Well first I need a name for my line, any suggestions? haha oh gosh. Summer has officially started for me and *sigh*, I don't know what to expect out of this summer. Anyway, be sure to keep checking my blogs!

Self made romper, Chloe purse, Sam Edelmen gladiator sandals, my dad's belt.

Have a good one! :]

Denim, Denim, & Denim.

This summer, I think one of the trends that's going to emerge is denim. I'm really lovin' the look and a lot of designers have been incorporating denim into their collections. No, not just jeans, but shirts, jackets, accessories, and even shoes!

Rock and Republic Summer 2010- I love the denim blazer. I.WANT.IT.
Dolce & Gabbana Summer 2010- I love the fading in the denim. It adds character.
Ralph Lauren Summer 2010- Look at that blazer! So well fitted and so chic.
Ralph Lauren Summer 2010-Denim on floral is genius.

& So, it inspired me to wear this outfit today at a lunch date.
Look at that huge bicycle behind me, hhaha :p
True Religion denim jacket, DIY skirt, DIY necklace, Abercrombie & Fitch tank top, H&M purse, Sam Edelmen gladiator shoes, Dior sunglasses.

Hmmm I got a question for you guys, should I make tutorials on random nifty stuff? Like that necklace and other nifty things? Leave comments! :]

Freedom vs. Work

I got offered a job at a doctor's office and they are willing to pay $10 per hour, but is it worth taking away my summer? After all summer is my only getaway from everything because school has been tough this year. Along with many people that just ruins your days. However, $10 is a lot. And well I could use the money right now. Ahhhh what should I go guys? I don't know...

Fashion Show & Other Updates!

So at one of the schools in my district was hosting a fashion show for Haiti, and I got to be one of their models! :] My most favorite outfit was when I had to wear a handmade Kimono, and it was made by this talented boy that I forgot the name of... :[ lol But sorry for the long haitus...

Lately I've been taking World History AP and wow... the exam raped me. I didn't know the topics so I just decided to draw on my essays :] lol But school is ending in 4 days!!!!!!! I'm so excited. And then... SUMMER :D

Have a wonderful weekend :]

My tacky make up :p

This was one of the models, Sydney. She's 5'7" and super skinny. Perfect model material.

I find it so stereotypical that they had me wear the kimono haha. The white part in the middle was so big I had to hold it while walking :/ And the guy next to me was the designer.

Getting my hair done. Took 2 hours to curl 19 inches of my hair!

My New Obsession:

Are animal rings! Well rings with animal, or whatever you want to say. I think these are great accessories for all year long but it's most appropriate for Spring because spring is all about nature and animals are a part of nature. I really want all these rings right here. But if only money grew on trees :/

Gold Elephant Ring: $14, buy @ Etsy.com. Gold Two Finger Snake Ring: $26, buy @ Etsy.com. Panda Pave Ring: $20, buy @ Urban Outfitters. Turtle Pave Movable Ring: $24, buy @ Urban Outfitters.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Forever 21 dress
Preston & York hat
Vintage Pearls
Steven Madden shoes

We are reading this classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird in English and one of our projects is to have a tea party. Oh how fun! Each student is to dress up as a character and bring a food that represents them. My character was Aunt Alexandra, and I thought this outfit portrayed her really well :] Well, maybe a longer dress but it's hte 20th century after all...
I hope you guys are having a great week. It's friday! :D

Jade

School is so dreadful... but tonight, I went to my Spanish Honor Society induction night. It was all swell until I fell from the stands... I stood on the top part of the stand where it doesn't have a rail or anything behind it to support us. And so I stepped back a little because I didn't want to burn the person in front of me with the candle. But I ended falling 4 feet down to the ground... AH what embarrassment! Not to mention the shortest of my skirt... I think the guy standing next to me might have seen a little too much that night haha.
I know school has been a drag to most of us, and trust me, I understand. But let's just keep enduring it and sooner or later, the school year will end. Ah, yes. Have a splendid rest of the week :]

The Back

I honestly think showing a woman's back is very sophisticated. It's not skanky like showing excessive cleavage. If I could, I would totally purchase/make all the clothes that shows my back or have cut outs. One dress I'm really fond of is Hilary Swank's navy blue dress that she wore to the Oscars in 2005 by Guy Laroche. Not only the dress was beautifully crafted, but it made her look very sophisticated.

Rainy Hazy Day

Free People black top
Victoria's Secret sequined mini skirt
American Apparel blue striped stockings
Gianni Bini heels

Yay for birthday party tonight! That skirt was originally $89.00 but I got it for $7.50! :D Such a great deal! And those tights are one of the items I purchased at the Factory Flea Market.
It rained a lot today. Oh the joy of unexpected weather that occurs in Houston :( I was driving around to run errands for my mom and I was so freaking scared! I recently started driving and I don't usually drive in hard rain... ah today is just so blah. Technically, I have one more day until school starts again. Spring break has gone by tooo fast :(
Happy Saturday :)

American Apparel Factory Flea Market

So this is my first post on my blog!!!! YAY! and the first thing I'm going to talk about is my trip to the American Apparel Factory Flea Market. I found so many great deals!

I bought a blue striped, pink, teal stockings, a vintage brown leather pencil skirt, blue tulip skirt, and seafoam & yellow top/skirt/dress and I paid $45 for all of it! I was kinda bummed because I should've bought more but I thought, I could make those things easily lol. But here's what I bought:
I would've spent $134+ at the store but I saved so much! They re-stock the market everyday for 3 days. Oh, I wish someone would take me back!!! I would totally wait in line for an hour for this again.
Above is half of the price list for all the items. Some of the items for 2 for whatever price, which was a great deal!

Well until next time, happy Friday!
